ZP-C standard cups, foam option and rings
ZP-C is the ribbed flat-cup family on this page. Match the contact profile and full model label instead of choosing by nominal size alone.
| Selection |
What the label establishes |
| CS / CN cup options |
The selector identifies CS as silicone and CN as nitrile rubber. |
| ZP16CS + Foam - No Buckle Ring |
A specific foam option explicitly supplied without a buckle ring. |
| Small / Medium / Large Buckle Ring |
Separate ring selections; not complete cup assemblies. |
Do not apply the foam option's configuration to every ZP-C cup. Ring fit, sealing area and performance still need to be checked on the selected drawing and actual workpiece.
Applications and Suitable Workpieces
ZP-C Series Vacuum Suction Cups & Buckle Rings: Flat suction cups provide stable positioning on smooth, flat or only slightly curved non-porous workpieces.
Recommended applications
- Sheet metal, glass, smooth plastic parts, coated panels, electronics panels and other flat industrial components.
- Machine loading and unloading, sorting, assembly, transfer and general automated pick-and-place.
- Thin sheets where a low internal volume and controlled vacuum can help reduce movement during pickup.
Model and selection notes
- ZP-C ribbed cup diameter and S/N suffix define size and material. Foam and buckle-ring options change the contact or mounting arrangement.
- Select diameter according to the available sealing area, workpiece mass, acceleration and mounting direction.
- Silicone suits clean parts and wider temperature conditions; NBR suits general industrial use, abrasion and lightly oily surfaces; conductive grades are only for static-sensitive handling where identified.
- Rough, porous, deeply curved or perforated surfaces may not seal. Confirm holding force on the actual part with an appropriate safety factor.

ZP-C Series: Product Views and Selection Guide
Ribbed flat vacuum suction cups in eight nominal diameters: 10, 13, 16, 20, 25, 32, 40 and 50 mm. CS identifies translucent silicone; CN identifies black nitrile rubber. Choose the complete model and the required mounting option.

Silicone and Nitrile Rubber Product Views
The following images show the standard cup range and its ribbed contact faces. They do not depict the special ZP16CS foam option.

Material Selection

Silicone offers flexibility across hot and cold conditions; nitrile rubber offers oil and abrasion resistance for general industrial handling. Verify compatibility with the workpiece, chemicals, temperature and duty cycle. Material choice alone does not establish a lifting capacity.
Model Code
ZP – 10 – C – N: ZP series / nominal cup diameter 10 mm / C ribbed flat profile / N nitrile rubber. Replace N with S for silicone. The material suffix is part of the full model, for example ZP10CN or ZP10CS.
Buckle-Ring Selection
| Ring option | Compatible nominal cup diameters (mm) |
| Small | 10, 13, 16 |
| Medium | 20, 25, 32 |
| Large | 40, 50 |
Ring-only options are separate components, not complete suction cups. The selected ZP16CS + Foam - No Buckle Ring option explicitly excludes the ring; the standard cup dimensions below do not define the added foam dimensions.
Standard Cup Dimensions
All dimensions below are in millimetres, transcribed from the individual model drawings. Each row applies to the listed standard CS and CN models. Confirm the mounting interface and actual workpiece before ordering.

*The final column lists the shorter right-hand height and the left-hand profile height shown on the source cross-section. These are distinct dimensions, not tolerances or a range. For a dimension-critical installation, request the full model drawing before ordering.
Spring-Buffer Mounting Examples

Spring-buffer holders allow installation adjustment and replacement in robotic pick-and-place systems. The photos illustrate mounting arrangements only; holders are not included unless the selected item explicitly states otherwise. For uneven or curved workpieces and tubes, confirm that the selected contact profile can form a reliable seal.
Load and Vacuum Selection
Evaluate both top pickup from a horizontal surface and side pickup from a vertical surface. Required holding force must account for the workpiece load, acceleration, leakage and an appropriate safety factor; side pickup also depends on friction. The supplied reference illustrates safety factors of 4 and 8 for those two orientations respectively. These are reference examples, not a verified safe working load for every installation. Validate the complete handling system on the actual part.
Vacuum level and leakage affect holding force. Use confirmed vacuum and effective contact-area data for the selected model; do not interpret cup diameter alone as a guaranteed load rating.
