High-Temperature-Series PTFE Magnetic Stir Bars
White PTFE-coated magnetic stir bars in 17 A, B, C and cross-shaped E configurations. This listing is the supplier-designated high-temperature series, separate from the standard stir-bar range.
Included: one stir bar of the selected model. The first image illustrates the available shape families, not a four-piece set.
Choose your shape
- A: olive-shaped profile.
- B: cylindrical body with a central pivot ring.
- C: smooth cylindrical body with rounded ends.
- E: cross-shaped body.
Dimensions
A/B/C dimensions are diameter x length. E dimensions are arm diameter x span. Dimensions are nominal supplier values. Inch conversions are rounded to 0.001 inch.

Temperature and safe use
The supplier claims approximately -196 to 350°C and separately cites a 380–400°C ultimate magnet limit. Neither is independently verified, and neither establishes a safe continuous operating limit for the complete PTFE-coated assembly. Do not assume PTFE is safe at 350°C. Confirm material compatibility and the appropriate operating temperature with the supplier before use. Use suitable ventilation, protective equipment and a compatible vessel. Avoid overheating.
The supplier recommends staged heating: 200°C for 10 minutes, 250°C for 10 minutes, 280°C for 10 minutes, then 300°C. This is translated supplier guidance, not an independently validated operating protocol. Verify temperature-control accuracy within ±10°C and account for differences between the measured temperature and the actual stir-bar contact temperature. Abrupt or uncontrolled heating may cause decoupling or loss of magnetism.
Store these bars separately from ordinary stir bars, as advised by the supplier. Keep small magnetic parts away from children. Custom sizes are available only after a separate confirmed quotation.
Identify the series as well as the model
In this listing, A10 means the 6 x 10 mm option (approximately 0.236 x 0.394 in). It is not a statement that the bar diameter is 10 mm. Read the complete dimensions in the model table; A/B/C use diameter x length, while E uses arm diameter x span.
One selected option supplies one stir bar, not a mixed-shape set. “High-temperature series” is the supplier's designation, not an independently verified continuous operating-temperature rating. Confirm the complete coated assembly's limit and chemical compatibility before selection.
