VAS versus VASB: start with bellows configuration
Choose the VAS single-bellows or VASB double-bellows family before comparing size and material. Extra bellows compliance is a selection factor, not an automatic increase in holding capacity.
| Selection detail | What to check |
|---|---|
| VAS-30 White Silicone | A single-bellows option; check the installed height and available contact travel. |
| VASB-30 White Silicone | A double-bellows option; compare clearance and stability on the actual part. |
| Nitrile-rubber alternatives | Use the exact material and colour label in the selector; check the corresponding mounting drawing. |
Can I substitute VASB for VAS of the same nominal size?
Not by size alone. Verify installed height, mounting geometry, workpiece motion and the required seal before changing the bellows configuration.

Applications / Suitable For
- Robotic pick-and-place, transfer lines, assembly equipment, and packaging machinery
- VAS single-bellows cups for general compliant gripping where limited stroke is suitable
- VASB double-bellows cups for workpieces with height variation, light curvature, or a need for increased compliance
- Silicone variants for temperature-varying industrial environments and nitrile-rubber variants where wear or oil resistance is required, subject to application testing
Confirm cup size, material compatibility, thread or mounting dimensions, vacuum level, and workpiece surface before selection. No food-contact or regulatory certification is claimed.
