45 steel spur gears for compatible mechanical transmission, automation and motion-control assemblies. Select the exact module, tooth count, hub or flat profile, bore and keyway shown in the model drawing.
Model Selection
Modules 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5 and 3: Hub and flat profiles with the listed tooth counts and bore/keyway options.
Each model drawing shows bore range, total thickness, tooth thickness and outside diameter.
Construction and Use
45 steel gear body with straight-tooth geometry for compatible parallel-shaft arrangements.
Use only with a matching module, shaft diameter, keyway, centre distance and load requirement.
Dimensions and technical callouts are shown in millimetres unless marked otherwise.
Spur gears: distinguish hub profile from finished bore
The 45 steel spur-gear selector includes module, tooth count and hub or flat profile. A profile selection does not by itself specify a finished shaft bore or keyway.

What to check
Module 1 / 15T / Hub
Identifies tooth system, count and body profile; verify the bore requirement separately.
Flat versus hub
Compare overall thickness, axial position and fastening space in the drawing.
Bore machining
Provide finished bore, shaft fit and keyway dimensions when machining is required.
Can a spur gear replace a crossed helical gear?
Not without reviewing the transmission design. This listing is for straight-tooth, parallel-shaft arrangements; crossed helical gears use a different geometry and shaft layout.
Related selection references
Compare the drawings and intended function; these references are not a statement of direct interchangeability.
Confirm the module, tooth count, bore diameter, keyway size, mating gear, rotation direction, clearance, speed, torque, lubrication and operating temperature against the selected drawing. If machining is required, state the shaft diameter, bore diameter and whether a keyway or through bore is needed in the order notes.
