Cylindrical PTFE Magnetic Stir Bars
White, smooth, full-cylinder magnetic stir bars with rounded ends and a PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene / F4) outer shell. Choose the exact nominal diameter, length and pack quantity for your vessel and application.
Materials and features
- PTFE outer shell with a magnetic core for use with a compatible magnetic stirrer.
- Smooth, low-friction, low-adhesion surface.
- PTFE resists many chemicals and solvents. Check compatibility with the actual chemical, concentration and operating conditions before use.
- Plain cylindrical body without a central pivot ring. The dimensions refer to diameter x overall length.

Selection and use
For laboratory mixing and compatible industrial stirring, choose a bar that fits the vessel bottom with sufficient clearance. Suitability depends on vessel geometry, liquid viscosity and stable magnetic coupling. Start at low speed and increase gradually while checking stable rotation.
For dyeing-vessel or fabric-seam detection equipment, confirm the required magnetic characteristics, dimensions and equipment compatibility before ordering. The model dimensions alone do not establish detector compatibility.
Care and operating precautions
- Inspect the PTFE coating for damage before use and avoid impact or abrasion.
- Use a chemically compatible cleaning method, rinse as appropriate and dry before storage.
- Confirm the operating temperature rating of the complete stir bar for your process. The PTFE shell properties alone are not a rating for the magnetic core.
- Dimensions are nominal; confirm critical fit and tolerances before ordering.
Custom sizes
Custom dimensions may be requested by quotation. Send the required diameter, length, quantity, operating conditions and equipment details. Custom products are not included in the standard model options.
