Flat Air Nozzle and Handheld Blow Guns
Choose a standalone flat compressed-air nozzle or a handheld trigger-operated blow gun. These options direct compressed air for loose-dust and debris removal, surface blow-off and drying. An external compressed-air supply, matching hose and appropriate pressure control are required.
Choose the Correct Configuration
| Model | Configuration | Selection guide |
|---|
| 61050 | Flat nozzle only | Use where a nozzle body is needed for mounting or integration. The hand gun is not included in this option. |
| J1230 | Handheld blow gun with flat nozzle | Choose a flat air pattern for accessible surfaces and wider blow-off work. |
| J1299 | Handheld blow gun with round nozzle | Choose a round tip for a more localized manually directed stream. |
The three selections are separate priced configurations, not a three-piece set. The model-specific photograph changes with the selection. The shared dimensions and reference figures below concern the flat-nozzle family; they are not dimensions or performance ratings for the J1299 round gun.
Flat-Nozzle Dimensions and Connections
The original flat-nozzle drawing marks a 50 mm outlet width (1.969 in). Its nominal outlet gap is listed as 0.4 mm (0.016 in). The connector close-up is labelled PT1/4 with a fitting for 10 mm outside-diameter tube (0.394 in). Confirm the included fitting, thread standard and tubing for the configuration being ordered; PT should not be assumed interchangeable with NPT. The supplied round-gun photo does not establish its exact inlet thread or tube size.
The photographs show fixing holes on the flat nozzle. Mounting-hole machining is described as available by request; do not assume a particular hole spacing or thread from the photograph. Confirm body material and mounting requirements for the supplied unit. The family description mentions aluminum or stainless steel without assigning a verified material grade to each option.
Where It Is Used
| Task | How it is used | What to check |
|---|
| Dust removal | Direct air toward loose dust on accessible parts or surfaces. | Arrange collection so debris is not blown into bearings, electronics or adjacent work. |
| Woodworking debris | Clear loose chips and sawdust from suitable accessible work areas. | Stop moving equipment and provide suitable collection and guarding. |
| Equipment and fixture cleaning | Direct the nozzle around accessible machine surfaces, fixtures and tooling. | Confirm machine instructions, access and compatibility with sensitive components. |
| Surface water blow-off | Use the flat stream to move droplets away from a surface. | Test angle, distance and the actual surface finish. |
| Narrow-area cleaning | Use the handheld gun to direct air where access permits. | Confirm clearance; do not force a tip into an opening. |
The application photograph below is an illustrative woodworking scene from the supplied material. The machine, wood and surrounding equipment are not included. For electronic assemblies or other sensitive workpieces, use the process requirements to determine whether compressed-air cleaning is suitable; no ESD or cleanroom certification is established by these images.
Reference Figures and Limits
The supplied flat-nozzle table lists air consumption of 460 L/min, a force entry of 1280 g and noise of 77 dB. It does not state the measurement pressure, distance or test method. Another paragraph gives a different noise figure, so a fixed noise rating is not promised. Actual results depend on the gun, compressor and installation. No maximum working pressure is established by the supplied data; confirm the rating of the nozzle, gun, fittings and hose before use.
Air Supply and Setup
- Select the standalone nozzle, flat gun or round gun for the intended pattern and mounting arrangement.
- Confirm fitting/thread compatibility, required air delivery and all component pressure limits.
- Use a suitable regulated air supply and keep dirt or liquid contamination out of the line.
- Secure a fixed nozzle or hold the handheld gun appropriately. Start at a controlled setting and test the actual workpiece.
- Adjust angle and working distance for coverage. Provide appropriate debris containment and personal protection for the operation.
- Isolate and depressurize the line before replacing tips, fittings or mounting hardware.
What Is Included
One selected configuration: 61050 nozzle only, J1230 flat-nozzle hand gun, or J1299 round-nozzle hand gun. Photos show typical fitted connectors; confirm exact connector contents before ordering. Compressor, regulator, supply hose, machine brackets and workpieces are not specified as included. The supplied sheet provides no verified overall gun dimensions, so these are not inferred from image scale.
