SAXM Elastodur ED-85 Vacuum Suction Cups with Female Thread

Applications and Suitable Workpieces

SAXM bell-shaped suction cups use wear-resistant Elastodur ED-85 for high-speed handling of smooth, oily or formed sheet-metal workpieces. The flexible bell shape provides stroke and contour adaptation while the internal support improves holding stability under acceleration.

Recommended applications

• Car-body panels, stamped sheet-metal parts, smooth steel and aluminum blanks, and convex or strongly curved workpieces.
• Loading and unloading of CNC metalworking machines and laser-cutting machines.
• Destacking stations, transfer presses, forming and joining lines, and high-speed robotic material handling.
• Dry or oily metal surfaces where high holding force, shear-force absorption and wear resistance are required.

Model and selection notes

• SAXM20 to SAXM115: select the diameter according to the available contact area, curvature and required holding force; larger sizes require sufficient flat sealing area.
• ED-85 material: intended for demanding industrial and automotive handling, including exposure to drawing oils and repeated high-cycle use.
• G1/4 female-thread models: select the connection to match the holder; the thread size does not determine the workpiece application.
• Actual capacity depends on vacuum level, workpiece radius, oil film, surface finish, acceleration and safety factor. Test the real part before production.
