Pressure-Reducing City-Water Inlets for RV Water Systems
Recessed wall-mount inlet assemblies with a tethered cap, brass female inlet, metal screen and built-in check-valve /pressure-reduction functions described by the source. Choose White SFWI1-04, Metallic /stainless-colour SFWI3-04 or Black SFWI2-04. One selected inlet assembly is supplied. These are pressure-fed city-water inlets, distinct from a locking gravity tank filler.

The label pressures are source references, not a measured regulation curve for every flow and inlet condition. A pressure-reducing inlet cannot raise a low supply pressure. Confirm the actual valve label and the downstream system's permitted pressure before connection. The check valve and screen do not establish a drinking-water certification or a separately certified backflow-prevention standard. The source describes the metallic option as stainless-colour and also uses plated-finish wording; no independently verified alloy grade or blanket all-metal construction is promised.

The supplied drawing accompanies the white and metallic source options. A separate black-option drawing is not provided, so confirm its mounting fit independently rather than assuming every reference applies unchanged. The drawing's 76.4 mm side reference and the separate photograph's 102.6 mm top-to-bottom reference are shown separately: their endpoints are not independently established as interchangeable. Check actual installed clearance before drilling or ordering an exact replacement. Original engineering lines and inch/mm labels are retained; added inch values use 25.4 mm per inch and three-decimal rounding, with the metric source references governing fit.
The source connection illustration uses a 25 mm /0.984 in inlet reference, while the separate rear photo uses 19 mm /0.748 in. Those pictured dimensions are not a confirmed NPT, BSP or garden-hose thread designation. Check the actual male/female fitting, seal and hose before ordering. Mounting fasteners, hoses, tanks and the RV are not supplied unless expressly identified in the selected option.
Parts and Function
The cap is tethered to the inlet so it can be retained while the connection is open. Brass inlet threads and a metal screen are pictured. The source describes an internal check valve to reduce reverse flow and a pressure-reducing valve for the downstream water system. Colour and metallic reflections in the original photographs follow the selected finish; the first metallic photo and RV diagram are family references. The RV sketch shows separate component positions, not extra valves or plumbing included in this order.
Installation and Maintenance
- Confirm the selected model, finish, actual mounting dimensions,thread and pressure limits against the vehicle's water-system instructions.
- Isolate and depressurize the supply before installation or service. Mount the flange on a suitable supported surface with compatible sealing and fasteners; do not distort the housing.
- Connect the correct hose and seal without cross-threading. Support the plumbing and follow the inlet's flow direction. Do not treat the tethered cap as a substitute for a system isolation valve.
- Turn on the supply gradually and check for leakage and suitable downstream pressure before normal use.
- Keep the cap, screen, seal and threads clean. Inspect for debris, wear or damage, and follow the actual instructions for screen access,draining and winter storage.
