ZF100 and ZF200 Aluminum Compressed-Air Knives
These standard air knives use a narrow outlet to direct an air sheet over a working surface. They are intended for suitable blow-off, water removal, drying and localized cooling tasks. An external compressed-air supply is required. Choose the 100 mm or 200 mm source model and confirm the supplied connections and installation drawing.
Select the Model and Length
| Model | Source length L | Original USD | Sale USD |
|---|
| ZF100 | 100 mm / 3.937 in | 450 | 360.00 |
| ZF200 | 200 mm / 7.874 in | 720 | 576.00 |
The source technical table explicitly maps ZF100 to 100 mm and ZF200 to 200 mm. These are length L references, not an overall length including fittings. The same table identifies ZF as the aluminum family and ZF-SS as stainless. Only the two aluminum ZF selections are offered on this page. Shared product photographs illustrate the family; the pictured pair does not mean two units are included.
How the Air Sheet Is Formed
Compressed air enters the internal chamber and exits through a narrow slot along the length. The stream follows the adjacent profile, changes direction and induces surrounding air into the combined sheet. Position the knife so the sheet reaches the intended work surface. The original source describes a nominal 90-degree deflection, but it does not supply a measured flow or pressure curve for these two selections. No fixed flow amplification, consumption, noise reduction or drying result is promised.
Applications
| Example process | Purpose | Selection and installation checks |
|---|
| Surface blow-off | Remove loose particles where the process permits. | Contain debris and verify surface compatibility and air cleanliness. |
| Water removal / drying | Direct an air sheet over containers, parts or sheets. | Check coverage, movement speed, outlet distance/angle and drainage. |
| Electronics / printing / textile equipment | Localized cleaning, drying or cooling in suitable machinery. | Confirm contamination limits, guarding, mounting clearance and process result. |
| Produce / packaging lines | A source illustration shows an air knife beside produce. | Confirm sanitation, material and air-quality requirements; no food-contact approval is established. |
| Pharmaceutical / biological / coating equipment | Supplier-listed application categories. | Verify the actual process and required standards; these categories do not establish certification. |
Dimensions and Connections
The family drawing labels cross-section spans of 35 mm (1.378 in) and 27.5 mm (1.083 in), and an air inlet marked PT1/4. The longitudinal view marks length L and reference spacings of 25 mm (0.984 in) and 50 mm (1.969 in). These are source family references, not a complete verified mounting-hole schedule for both models. Confirm the actual port/thread form, fitting contents, mounting features and full selected-model drawing before installing or drilling.
The supplied files do not establish a rated pressure, airflow requirement, outlet gap or material grade for these two SKU rows. Those values are not borrowed from another air-knife family. Inches above are calculated from 25.4 mm per inch.
Installation and Use
- Select the required coverage and confirm dimensions, connections, mounting details and allowable operating conditions for the supplied unit.
- Provide a suitable controlled compressed-air supply and air treatment for the process. Confirm required flow before compressor sizing.
- Mount securely without distorting the body or outlet slot. Keep adequate clearance from moving equipment and guarding.
- Aim the discharge at the intended area and contain any removed water or loose debris.
- Start with a controlled setting and verify the actual cleaning, drying or cooling result. Adjust angle, distance and supply as required.
- Isolate and depressurize before changing fittings or servicing the unit. Avoid damage to the narrow outlet.
Supply Scope and Other Lengths
One selected aluminum ZF air knife is priced. Multiple knives, sample fittings and installation examples are shown for reference. Confirm end fittings and mounting hardware included with the unit. A compressor, filter/regulator, machinery and workpieces are not specified as included. The source describes other family lengths and customization in 50 mm increments; only ZF100 and ZF200 are priced selections here. Confirm any other requirement separately.
