Hand-Pump Vacuum Camera Mounting Bases

These compact vacuum bases provide a multi-hole top plate for attaching camera arms, phone holders, lights or fixture accessories on a suitable smooth surface. Pump by hand to evacuate the cup and use the side release blocks to detach it. Choose the actual cup diameter and plastic or metal pump configuration.

Four distinct configurations

• 115 mm (4.528 in), 4.5-inch nominal family, with plastic hand pump.
• 150 mm (5.906 in), 6-inch nominal family, with plastic hand pump.
• 115 mm (4.528 in), with metal hand pump.
• 150 mm (5.906 in), with metal hand pump.

The mounting body uses an aluminum-alloy top plate and rubber sealing pad. The individual source photographs distinguish the black plastic pump with its red warning section from the copper-coloured metal pump. Colour is an identification aid, not a substitute for the selected pump material. The supplied pump comparison describes the plastic spring-pump assembly as removable and the metal spring-pump assembly as non-removable; do not force the metal assembly apart.

Mounting-hole layout

The top view identifies one M6 threaded opening, three 1/4-inch openings, one 3/8-inch opening and eight anti-twist locating holes. Match the actual fastener, seating depth and accessory footprint. Metric and inch thread designations retain their original meaning. The plastic-pump reference drawings show a 55 mm top plate; additional body/span dimensions below apply to that photographed configuration and must not be assumed for the different metal pump.

Applying and releasing the vacuum

1. Inspect the sealing lip and vacuum filter. Clean and dry the cup and a flat, smooth, non-porous mounting surface.
2. Press the base evenly against the surface and repeatedly operate the pump until the warning section is retracted. Check that the seal is stable before attaching equipment.
3. Recheck the warning line and attachment during use. If the indicator returns or the seal changes, support and remove the equipment before reapplying the cup.
4. Support the mounted equipment, then operate the side release blocks to admit air. Do not pull the base away against an unreleased seal.

Typical uses

The supplied illustrations show tabletop camera work and temporary mounting on smooth panels. Arms, cameras, lights and phone holders are separate accessories. Surface finish, orientation, leverage and vibration affect performance; choose a working load for the real installation. Use a separate safety tether when detachment could damage equipment. A still photograph does not establish safe moving-vehicle operation or an overhead lifting rating.

What is supplied

Each option is one complete hand-pump vacuum base in the selected diameter and pump material. The camera arm, phone clamp and action-camera adapter are not included. The three-piece accessory kit is available as a separate option in the electric vacuum camera mount range.
