Large Vacuum Suction Cups for Glass-Handling Equipment
These 250 mm and 300 mm suction assemblies connect a broad rubber sealing pad to an aluminum mounting base. They are components for an engineered external-vacuum handling system, rather than self-contained hand-pump lifters. Select the complete assembly, a replacement pad or the aluminum mounting base.
Available parts and sizes
- 250 mm (9.843 in) complete assembly.
- 300 mm (11.811 in) complete assembly.
- 250 mm (9.843 in) or 300 mm (11.811 in) replacement pad only.
- Aluminum mounting base only, without a pad.
The complete-assembly drawings show the base, spring and fasteners. Pad-only and base-only options do not include the remaining assembly components. The separate tube-connector order row does not resolve which of the source 8/10 mm interfaces is supplied; it is not offered as an ambiguous selectable part.
Construction
The supplied materials description identifies an aluminum base with metal hardware and a rubber suction pad. The collection refers to nitrile rubber and also mentions a silicone pad option in general family copy, but the priced rows do not select a compound. Confirm the required elastomer before ordering for an oil, temperature or sensitive-surface requirement. No operating-temperature limit, hardness or chemical-resistance rating is inferred.
Applications
For compatible glass-loading/unloading machinery, vacuum lifting frames and automated panel-handling fixtures working with suitable smooth glass, tile or metal sheet. The source application and force-direction photographs below explain the integration context. Workpieces, machines, pumps, hoses and vacuum-control hardware shown for illustration are not supplied with an individual cup.
Selection and installation
- Match the pad diameter, mounting-base geometry and actual connection dimensions to the equipment. Review the available original size views and bracket dimension excerpts below.
- Confirm the required pad compound and the mating tube-connector size. The source shows replaceable 8/10 mm fittings; the actual installed fitting must be checked.
- Use a vacuum supply, monitoring and release system designed for the application. Mount the cup without side-loading the sealing lip.
- Test the complete handling system with the actual surface, force direction and operating conditions. Inspect the seal, fasteners and spring regularly.
- Support the workpiece before releasing vacuum or replacing a pad.
Force direction
Normal pull and tangential/shear loads require separate evaluation. The source proposes design safety factors of 4 for horizontal lifting and 8 for vertical lifting; these are source selection guidance only and are not a certified working-load limit for this assembly. No lifting capacity is stated without the actual vacuum level, effective seal area, orientation, load distribution and system assessment.
