Knurled Metal Encoder Measuring Wheels

Aluminum and steel contact wheels with textured circumferential surfaces for encoder-based length measuring and machine contact arrangements. Select the material, nominal rolling circumference, tread face width and shaft bore together. Circumference is the distance around the contact surface, not outside diameter.

Bore Selection and Mounting

For aluminum options, the displayed bore range represents available finished-hole configurations and is not adjustable. Specify one exact bore in the order requirements and confirm it before ordering. Steel options have the fixed 6 mm or 8 mm bore stated in the selected model. Check the hub projection, overall width, retaining method and shaft fit. The face width is not the total hub length.

Materials and Surface

Original photographs show silver aluminum wheels and dark steel wheels with textured contact surfaces, shaft bores and side retention openings. Solid and spoked center forms are represented. Surface texture and hub form may differ between sizes. Exact alloy grade, hardness, bore tolerance, screw thread, maximum speed, load and temperature rating are not specified for every model; confirm required limits separately.

Measuring and Installation

  • Match the wheel circumference and encoder resolution, then calibrate rolling distance on the actual material.
  • Check alignment, contact force and slipping. A knurled surface can mark soft or finished materials; evaluate suitability before production.
  • Isolate the machine before installation. Secure the shaft connection and check free rotation and component clearance.
  • Inspect the contact surface, hub and fasteners for wear, damage or looseness.

Original Product and Handheld Views

The following original photographs show contact textures, front and rear hub construction, and handheld size context. Shared source photographs are series references, not exact-size measurements or a multi-wheel package offer. An encoder, shaft and mounting bracket are separate and are not included. Inch values are rounded to three decimal places.
