M5, G1/8 and G1/4 Vacuum Cup Adapters – Male and Female Threads
Seleccionado Seleccionar modelo
M5, G1/8 and G1/4 Vacuum Cup Adapters
Select the mating thread first, then male or female gender, then the Type and drawing. These compact adapters connect compatible vacuum cups, holders and pneumatic tooling. They are connection components only: the adapter itself does not define cup holding force or safe payload.

What to identify
How to choose
1. Mating thread
Thread on the component you are connecting to
Choose only the matching M5, G1/8 or G1/4 family. These thread sizes are not interchangeable.
2. Thread gender
Does the mating part have an external or internal thread?
Select Male for an external-thread adapter or Female for an internal-thread adapter. The mating part must be the opposite gender.
3. Type / form
Required head shape, thickness, reach and clearance
Match A0, B0, 1, 2 or 3 only from the selected model drawing. Do not choose a Type by thread size alone.
4. Finish and final code
Colour/finish when stated in the variant label
Use the full variant label and drawing. Some code families have more than one listed finish.

Selection note
M5 male
AFS-M5M-A0, AFS-M5M-B0, AFS-M5M-1
AFS-M5M-1 is listed in black.
G1/8 male
AFS-18M-1, AFS-18M-1-H, AFS-18M-2, AFS-18M-3
Type 1 is offered as thin; Type 1-H as thick. AFS-18M-2 has black and white listed variants - confirm the full label.
G1/8 female
AFS-18F-1, AFS-18F-2, AFS-18F-3
Select the Type from the drawing and required clearance.
G1/4 male
AFS-14M-1, AFS-14M-2, AFS-14M-3
Type 1 is listed as thin; Type 2 and Type 3 require drawing confirmation.
Model-code example:AFS-18F-2 identifies the G1/8 female Type 2 option. AFS-14M-3 identifies the G1/4 male Type 3 option. The code identifies the adapter family and form; the drawing confirms the actual dimensions and compatible interface.
Before You Order
Thread size alone is not enough. Confirm thread gender, thread form, mating depth, sealing method, head clearance and the selected model drawing.
Do not infer holding force from this adapter. The completed vacuum system's performance depends on the selected cup, actual vacuum at the cup, workpiece surface, piping, acceleration and installation.
Use the full variant label. For example, AFS-18M-2 is listed in both black and white finishes; choose the exact listed variant rather than relying on the base code alone.
No torque value is claimed here. Use the torque and sealing practice specified for the mating components; avoid cross-threading and over-tightening.
Not a safety-lifting component. Do not use as a personnel-lifting, medical, food-contact or safety-critical suspended-load component unless the complete system has been separately qualified for that use.
Fast FAQ
Question
Short answer
Can I replace M5 with G1/8 or G1/4?
No. Select the exact thread family required by the mating component.
How do I choose Male or Female?
Choose the opposite gender to the thread on the part being connected.
Does Type 1, 2 or 3 show the adapter length?
No. Treat Type as a model form. Confirm length, head geometry and clearance from the model drawing.
What should I send for selection help?
Send the mating component model or drawing, required thread size/gender, cup model, required overall length, available clearance and process conditions.
Installation Check
Verify the selected model code, full variant label and drawing.
Confirm compatible mating thread, gender, engagement depth and sealing method.
Install without cross-threading; do not apply an unverified torque value.
Pressure/vacuum-test the completed assembly for leakage before production use.
Validate the final cup and workpiece combination at real vacuum level and cycle acceleration.
